The Team in Waterloo
Since the launch of our chapter in December 2020, we’ve been so fortunate to receive an incredible showing of support from the Waterloo community. This includes the tremendous response we have seen from community members eager to join the chapter and contribute in any way they can. Shelter Movers Waterloo Region currently has over 50 volunteers, and more than half were onboarded in February alone.
While our volunteers take on different roles in the organization, from moving clients, to fundraising, to outreach, they all contribute to Shelter Mover’s goal of helping survivors of gender-based violence transition to a life free from abuse. Our growing team is responsible for all of the work we do in the community, and we thank them for the generous donation of their time and effort to ensure that our services are available for anyone in need.
