The Event

We are honored to feature Brandi Leifso as our keynote speaker. As a powerful resilience advocate and the visionary CEO and Founder of Evio Beauty, Brandi will share her extraordinary journey — from surviving an abusive relationship to building a globally recognized beauty brand, all while living in a shelter. Her story is one of unshakable strength, determination, and change.

Guests will enjoy a gourmet dining experience, gain exclusive access to our signature auction, and receive a copy of Brandi’s transformative book, Fearless Choices: Make a Decision, Change Your Life.

Moving Stories is more than an event — it’s a chance to connect, be inspired, and leave with the tools to make fearless choices in your own life.

We are thrilled to welcome award-winning television personality Sangita Patel as our Master of Ceremonies. Known for her warmth, charisma, and ability to connect with audiences, Sangita brings decades of experience in broadcasting, having co-hosted ET Canada, hosted HGTV’s Home to Win, and most recently led TLC’s Love and Translation. A Canadian Screen Award winner and Covergirl Ambassador, Sangita has used her platform to champion representation, community service, and storytelling with impact.

With her signature energy and empathy, Sangita will guide us through an unforgettable afternoon – shining a spotlight on the courage of survivors and the critical work Shelter Movers is doing nationwide. Her passion for uplifting others and her deep commitment to giving back make her the perfect host to this meaningful occasion.
